Flight Simulator is a three part analog synth journey through the skies. Inspired by fly-by-wire airliners, faded contrails, and jet fuel, Dan Casey pilots a sonic expedition for our ears using only analog synthesizers and drum machines. The low end rumble of a Model D propels the listener into the air, and the analog warmth of kick drums and snares lets the listener know the skies are clear. As the journey progresses, the rhythmic cadence of sequenced hi-hats and snappy claps mimic the precise movements of aircraft controls, while ethereal pads evoke the tranquility of cruising at altitude. Buckled in, Casey glides us on our voyage, capturing Detroit's own, Ron Ecstasy, over the simulated air traffic control radio frequencies of a non-stop flight from Philadelphia to Detroit. Prepare for takeoff and let the analog synths carry you to new heights in this musical homage to the skies above, or take a trip on the flip, with Ron Ecstasy's XTC69 disco remix.
